Kayla A. Leddy
CEO/Co-owner
Kayla A. Leddy, CEO and co-owner (MS, LIMHP, LIPC), is a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner and a Licensed Independent Professional Counselor. Kayla obtained both her Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science and Master's degree in Clinical Counseling at Bellevue University, in Bellevue, Nebraska.
Kayla moved to Central Nebraska in 2014 to make a difference and to offer much needed mental health services to rural communities. Kayla moved back to her hometown, Omaha, to open the second Clearwater Counseling, PC location in July 2019. During her time in Grand Island, Kayla facilitated several classes for the Hall County Probation Office including; Relapse Prevention, Anger Management, Co-Dependency, Women's Trauma I and II, as well as a Women’s weekly Support Group. Kayla also served on the board of The Crisis Center, Inc. Kayla has over 9 years of clinical experience working with individuals with chronic mental health, behavioral and substance use disorders, as well as expertise in diagnosing and assessments. Kayla focuses on assessment and evaluations to provide each client with an accurate diagnosis and individualized care. She incorporates several therapeutic techniques during session to provide clients with: healthy coping skills, increased positive cognitive patterns and relapse prevention plans for substance use and negative behaviors. Kayla offers continuous support and motivation to all clients to be the BEST they can be EVERY day!
Kayla is a mom and wife with 2 boys and loves spending her time with them! She loves watching her boys play sports; baseball, football, and basketball, which keeps her busy traveling and outside on the weekends all year long! Kayla enjoys going to the movie theater, spending time outdoors and cuddling up with a good book.
Nikki L. Bauer (Frenzen)
COO/Co-owner
Nikki L. Bauer, COO and co-owner (MS, PLMHP), is a Provisionally Licensed Mental Health Practitioner. Nikki obtained both her Bachelor's degree in Human Service Counseling and Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health at Wayne State College in Wayne, Nebraska. Nikki was born and raised in central Nebraska in a small rural community. Being able to bring Mental Health services to rural communities is near and dear to Nikki's heart.
Nikki has 6 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults with behavioral disorders and chronic mental health disorders. Nikki's passion is working with children who struggle behaviorally, parents of these children, in addition to trauma work. Nikki is trained in CASI Evaluations, Brainspotting, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Nikki also utilizes several therapeutic theories to guide treatment. Nikki enjoys helping children find positive coping skills who struggle with anger, aggression, anxiety, or children who struggle to express emotions. Nikki also enjoys helping parents find positive parenting techniques to parent angry, anxious, or aggressive children. Nikki serves clients at the Grand Island location.

Jessica J.
Smith (Frenzen)
Mental Health Therapist
Jessica J. Smith (LIMHP/CMSW), is a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner/Certified Masters Social Worker. Jessica obtained her Bachelor's degree in Social Work from the University of Nebraska-Kearney and her Master's degree in Social Work, Clinical Concentration from the University of Nebraska-Omaha. Jessica has clinical experience working with children with past trauma/behavior issues, as well as teens and adults diagnosed with chronic mental health and substance use disorders. Additionally, she has experience with group work and has facilitated several support groups and substance use groups. Jessica is trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and uses evidence-based techniques to guide her practice and to develop individualized treatment plans. She is deeply passionate about helping her clients achieve peace and success as they journey through their life. Through her methods, she helps clients recognize their strongest and truest potential, while identifying strategies that work best for them to breakdown any barriers that may be holding them back. Jessica serves clients at the Omaha location.

Taylar E Mason
Mental Health Therapist
Taylar E Mason is a Provisionally Licensed Mental Health Practitioner/Certified Masters Social Worker. Taylar received her Bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln and her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
Taylar has a passion to work alongside her clients and meet them where they are at in treatment. Taylar has clinical experience working with children and adolescents with trauma, and their families. She also has experience working with individuals of all ages diagnosed with behavioral, chronic mental health and substance abuse disorders. Taylar has experience working with probation, foster care and multidisciplinary teams. She worked in a Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility, where she worked primarily with dually diagnosed adolescents and their families. Taylar conducted both individual and family therapy, and group therapy. She has training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Sand Tray Therapy. Taylar utilizes evidence based practices to guide her practice and to develop individualized treatment plans.
Prior to becoming a Provisionally Licensed Mental Health Practitioner/Certified Masters Social Worker, Taylar worked at Friendship Home of Lincoln, a domestic violence emergency shelter and transitional housing, over a span of six years. She has also been involved in research at the Center for Children and Families at Florida Internal University in Miami, FL, where she worked primarily with adolescents diagnosed with Neurodevelopment Disorders, and Disruptive, Impulse-Control and Conduct Disorders.
